11 FUTURE COMPRIMATION LID SOLUTIONS FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD Helping people getting their kitchen and wardrobe interiors sorted is a way of taking care of things and moving away from ”wear and tear” behaviour. One of the product areas where we really can make difference is when it comes to solutions for waste sorting. By creating products that help people sort their waste in the most convenient way we help individuals to live more sustainably. The comprimation lid is a simple but unique solution that prevents plastic from popping out of the bin inside the kitchen drawer. In that way you can collect a large amount of plastic waste in a single bin. The 18,5 l bin is large enough to contain big pizza boxes and still fits most of our frames and solutions for drawers. 55% RECYCLED BY 2025 60% RECYCLED BY 2030 65% RECYCLED BY 2035 EU WASTE FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE The European Union has set ambitious targets for waste management and recycling in households by 2025. The main aim is to promote a circular economy and reduce waste generation. Member states must ensure that at least 55% of municipal waste is recycled, with a further increase to 60% by 2030 and 65% by 2035. IMA has been working together with different national associations in waste disposal, to try to come up with a solution that can be used all over Europe. And the result is our own HERO. * Food waste collected in a paper bag will not start to decompose (and therefor won´t start to smell bad), if it´s kept in a ventilated bin.
